Cape May
One of the Shore's more well preserved cities is Cape May, located at the farthest southern tip of the state. Cape May has an extensively large collection of preserved Victorian era houses and is recognized as a National Historic Landmark city. Also found in Cape May is Sunset Beach and Diamond Beach which are home to the famous Cape May Diamonds, small quartz like rocks that wash up on the beaches. You can also find some fun and one of a kind stores on Historic Washington Street or take a day to spend at the Cape May County Zoo. Cape May's beaches have also been recognized as one of the ten nicest in the country and it is also one of the premier bird watching spots in the Northeastern United States. Also only a short drive from the amusement pier in Wildwood, Cape May is a diverse vacation spot that is a unique gem along the Jersey shore.
